The Bible predicts massive environmental changes for the worse as the world nears an end. It predicts the destruction of grasslands and forests, the poisoning of waters and oceans, the vast destruction of wildlife and sea creatures, global warming and major changes in the seasons. These trends do not relieve us of the responsibility to care for our environment and do all we can to protect it. The inevitable deterioration of the physical world does not excuse us from our present biblical responsibilities.
Ed Dobson, in The End, Zondervan 1997
